We follow a strict no-smoking policy inside the house. You may ask the caretaker for an ashtray and smoke outside the house if you need to.

Pets are not allowed.
Wifi and Connectivity:
There is a good 4G connectivity for Airtel and Jio users, unless the weather is bad. Anyone who needs dedicated connection should carry an Airtel/Jio Sim and it works very good. We don’t have WiFi connection facility.
Cancellation Policy:
45 – 30 days prior to check-in date – 50 % of full amount would be charged as retention
31 – 16 days prior to check-in date – 75 % of full amount would be charged as retention
15 Days prior to check-in date – 100% of full amount would be charged as retention.

Bookings made for long weekends, festivals and blackout periods (sold-out dates, special festivals, Christmas & New Year) are non-refundable and non-changeable.

Getting There:
By Road:
Buses depart in the morning and late evening from the Kashmere Gate, New Delhi for Rishikesh every day. To reach Pauri you have to take another bus from Rishikesh, which is 120Kms away. You can choose from a regular or a deluxe coach.
By Train
The nearest railhead to Pauri is Kotdwar which is 105Kms away. Dehradun is another railway station which is 150Kms from Lansdowne. Dehradun is better connected with almost all major cities of the country.
By Air
Jolly Grant Airport (DED) at Dehradun is the nearest airport to Pauri which is 150Kms away. Jolly Grant is a domestic airport having daily flights from many major cities of the country

We will share the exact directions upon confirmation. We have pickup, drop facility from the Airport/Railway Station, which are chargeable additionally.
We also offer accommodation for the drivers at the property at an additional cost. Please inform us at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Originally built nearly 75 years ago by the owner’s grandfather, this humble mud-and-stone house stood as a symbol of strength, shelter, and familial growth. Season after season, it weathered the elements and watched over generations—until each member of the family found their own path and homes elsewhere.
Years later, driven by a deep yearning for their roots and the overwhelming pace of city life, the owner’s chose to return and restore their ancestral home—faithfully, just as it once was. Rebuilt with natural precision, stone by stone, layered with mud, sweat, and soul, bound by native wood and the hands of skilled artisans, the home now stands renewed and ready to welcome like-minded people.
Nestled in the quaint village of Rawat Gaon, near Pauri town in Uttarakhand, the homestay offers a glimpse into the simple mountain life. Once bustling with local families, the village remains rich in culture, biodiversity, and fertile land that nurtures a variety of fruits and vegetables—a perfect retreat for those seeking authenticity, peace, and connection.

Situated at an altitude of around 5500Feet, Khirsu offers stunning views of the Himalayan peaks such as Trishul, Nanda Devi and Panchachuli. Go for a guided village walk of Khirsu. As one wander through the charming lanes of Khirsu, one will witness the warmth of the locals who take pride in preserving their age-old customs and traditions in their daily life.
