For early check-ins or late check-outs don’t be shy to check with us.
Slow and soft music is okay, but please do not play loud music. You are in the middle of nature and a village.

Services of the staff are available until 10:00 pm
We follow a strict no-smoking policy inside the house. You may ask the caretaker for an ashtray and smoke outside the house if you need to.

Pets:
Pets are not allowed.

Wifi and Connectivity:
There is a good 4G connectivity for Airtel and Jio users, unless the weather is bad. Anyone who needs dedicated connection should carry an Airtel/Jio Sim and it works very good. We don’t have WiFi connection facility.

Cancellation Policy:

45 – 30 days prior to check-in date – 50 % of full amount would be charged as retention

31 – 16 days prior to check-in date – 75 % of full amount would be charged as retention

15 Days prior to check-in date – 100% of full amount would be charged as retention.

Bookings made for long weekends, festivals and blackout periods (sold-out dates, special festivals, Christmas & New Year) are non-refundable and non-changeable.

Getting There:

By Road:
One can reach Uttarkashi by road either by hiring a taxi or taking a bus. From Uttarkashi, Jakhol Village is approximately 80Kms. One can hire a local taxi or use public transportation to reach Jakhol from Uttarkashi.

By Train
The nearest railway station to Jakhol Village is Dehradun, around 212Kms away. From Dehradun, one can either hire a taxi or take a bus to Uttarkashi and then hire another vehicle to reach Jakhol Village.

By Air
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is approximately 240Kms away from Jakhol Village.

We will share the exact directions upon confirmation. We have pickup, drop facility from the Airport/Railway Station, which are chargeable additionally.
We also offer accommodation for the drivers at the property at an additional cost. Please inform us at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

The Stay:

Alpine Orchard Rawat Homestay is a true reflection of traditional wooden houses of the region. This beautiful accommodation is located in the Jakhol Village of Uttarakashi district of Uttarakhand. The homestay can be reached by a small hike of 300-500 meters from the village and built in the apple orchard. It is equipped with essential amenities such as a double bed, chair, table, wardrobe, and a Western-style toilet. Meet the local villagers and immerse into the culture and traditions of the region. Drive to Jakhol via Lakhamandal. Visit Lakhamandal Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Jakhol is a picturesque hamlet nestled in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India. Situated at an elevation of around 7200Feet, it offers breath-taking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks and lush greenery. Day 4: Jakhol – Hanol
After breakfast depart for Hanol, a small village located on the banks of Tons river in Chakrata. Surrounded by verdant hills, it’s a place not frequented by tourists but greatly esteemed by local hill dwellers. Hanol’s most striking attraction, Mahasu Devta Temple, stands as an unforgettable monument dedicated to Shiva that dates back to the 9th century and stands amid lush grasslands and gently sloped hills. Visit the temple. Take a walk around the village to get a sense of the local culture. Transfer to stay.

Day 5: Hanol – Chakrata
After breakfast depart for Chakrata. Earlier known as Jaunsar Bawar, Chakrata is situated at an elevation of 7500Feet is beautifully located on the banks of two rivers – Yamuna and Tons amidst amazing flora and fauna.The region is a military cantonment and, thus, foreigners have to face severe restrictions during their visit. This quaint hill station is dotted with scenic treasures – stunning waterfalls, ancient temples, lush bugyal (meadows) and breath-taking Himalayan ranges. Transfer to stay.
