Day 01

Bagdogra Airport TO Gangtok

Arrival at Bagdogra Airport and drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, where precipitous river valleys cloaked in rhododendron forest blaze with colour in the spring and ancient Buddhist monasteries still cling to many ridge tops. Transfer to stay on arrival.
Evening visit the vibrant MG Marg for shopping and Café hopping.

Day 02

Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir

After early breakfast, go for an excursion to Tsangu Lake, New Baba Mandir and Nathula Pass (Optional). Nestled amidst the cradle of the Himalayas, Tsomgo Lake emerges like a sparkling jewel, captivating travelers with its ethereal beauty and sacred allure. Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake, emerges like a shimmering mirage amidst the rugged terrain of the Himalayas. As visitors approach this natural wonder, they are greeted by a sight that defies imagination – a crystal-clear expanse of water, framed by snow-capped peaks and verdant meadows. Return back to Gangtok.

Day 03

Gangtok Local Tour

Go for a full day sightseeing of Gangtok covering Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Do-rul Chhorten, Research Institute of Tibetology Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom and Flower Show.
Evening free at leisure or go for café hopping.

Day 04

Gantok To Namchi

After breakfast drive to Ravangla, a quaint town in Southern Sikkim, is blessed with breathtaking landscapes and a serene ambiance. Surrounded by lush greenery and snow-capped mountains, the town offers panoramic views that leave visitors in awe. Explore the picturesque trails, visit the monasteries, and immerse yourself in the tranquility that Ravangla has to offer. After Ravnagla tour, you drive to Namchi, another delightful town in Southern Sikkim, is a cultural treasure trove. The town is dotted with ornate monasteries, stupas, and temples, reflecting the rich religious and cultural heritage of Sikkim. Visit Samdruptse Monastery, Temi Tea Garden and Char Dham.
In the evening take a stroll through the colorful streets and experience the warmth of the local culture and traditions.

Day 05

Gangtok To Pelling

After breakfast drive to Pelling today for a two-night stay, visiting Rumtek monastery en route. Seat of the Karma Kagya, or ‘Black Hat’ monastic order, Rumtek is the site of one of the largest and most splendid monasteries in the Himalayas. Its focal point is an ornately decorated temple featuring an impressive prayer hall with towering red-painted pillars. The ridgetop town of Pelling, today’s final destination, boasts one of the best views in Sikkim of Kanchenjunga and its outlying peaks, which – weather permitting – you’ll be able to savour from the comfort of your own hotel balcony.

Day 06

Pelling Local Tour

After breakfast, proceed for Pelling local sightseeing covering Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse ruins, Skywalk & Cherizig statue. Post lunch proceed for sightseeing of Rimbi Water fall, Khecheopalri Lake & Kanchanjunga Water fall.

Day 07

Pelling to Darjeeling

After breakfast drive to Darjeeling. It’s not hard to understand why the British chose Darjeeling as the site of an army sanatorium back in the early 19th century. Dense oak and sal forest cloaks the high, undulating ridge on which the hill station was founded, at a refreshing altitude of 2,200m. For much of the year, the skies remain blue and air blissfully cool. Whole hillsides of lush tea gardens carpet the surrounding slopes. Visitors pour in to watch the pluckers at work amid the terraces, to marvel at the rhododendron flowers and enjoy the old-world. Transfer to stay on arrival. Evening visit the Darjeeling mall iconic for its British colonial heritage, offering cafes, bookstores, and local handicrafts.

Day 08

Darjeeling Local Tour

Early morning at around 0400 A.M drive to Tiger Hills to view the sunrise over mighty Kanchendzonga Peak. Return to stay and have breakfast. Go for a half-day sightseeing of local Darjeeling covering Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center and Panoramic tour of Tea Estate & Heritage Joy Ride.
Evening free at leisure.

    A deposit of 60% per person is required upon booking. This deposit forms part of the final payment. However, a payment of deposit does not constitute confirmation of the tour. Rest of the payment is required 15 days before departure. Failure to comply with this may result in an automatic cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of your deposit
  • Methods of Payment:
    Methods of payment are cash or bank transfer or UPI. All major international currencies are accepted, the exchange rate being determined at the sole discretion of Himalayan Rural Stays and updated periodically. Exchange rates so set are final and non-negotiable. Whatever the method of payment, payments must have to be cleared in our account by the payment deadline
  • Refund/ Compensation:
    No refunds, either in part or in full, will be made for unused air tickets, ground transportation, meals, accommodation, car rental or sightseeing tours not taken. No compensation will be made in case of rail/ road blocks, general strikes, cancellation of flight/ bus/ train services by the respective authorities. No compensation will be made as a result of Force Majeure (unforeseen circumstances beyond human control, e.g. war, civil strike, landslides, earthquake, floods). The Company can accept no responsibilities for loss or any additional expenses to travelers due to delay, changes in schedule or extended stay or extra vehicle services enjoyed by the passengers

Darjeeling Heritage Train Ride

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 1999. The Darjeeling Railway station has a vintage aura that preserves the history, beauty and freshness of Darjeeling since the colonial times, with utmost veracity. Traditional Cooking Class

An excellent opportunity to be taught traditional receipts and cooking methods of Sikkim on a wood burning hearth.
