Garhwal Walks
Historical sites have always drawn travellers, offering a window into the cultural heritage of a region. In Garhwal, the legacy of kingdoms, temples, and fortresses is deeply woven into its villages and landscapes. When presented through guided walks, these resources not only educate visitors but also inspire local communities to conserve them for future generations.
Garhwal Walks introduces travellers to immersive heritage experiences across Srinagar Garhwal, once the capital of the Garhwal Kingdom; Devalgarh, renowned for its temples and royal past; and Chandpur Garhi, a historic fort that echoes tales of valour. Walking through these sites and nearby villages allows travellers to connect with living traditions, folklore, and the everyday rhythm of Himalayan life. Real encounters—whether listening to stories at a temple courtyard or exploring ancient ruins—create lasting memories and associations with the land. Garhwal Walks thus offer more than sightseeing; it is a soulful exploration of history, culture, and identity in the heart of Garhwal Himalayas.
