In the picturesque village of Kohima nestled within the verdant hills of Nagaland, Razhu Pru stands as a charming accommodation offering a blend of modern conveniences and traditional hospitality. Razhu Pru is a historic, colonial-era bungalow converted into a heritage homestay that offers a blend of traditional Naga culture and British-era architecture. The rooms are very comfortable though a few don’t have outside windows. The log fire in the lounge at night is very cosy in the chilly winter and a good way to meet other guests. A large living room decorated with Naga cultural items and a south facing porch / veranda on which to sit and catch the afternoon sun. The garden adds an old world charm and the bonus is Ribbon, the hotel’s adorable pet. Guests will find themselves surrounded by comfortable bedding, fresh towels, and attentive housekeeping services, making their stay both restful and luxurious. Hot water is ample. Very dependable and highly hospitable in-house local staffs are always there to help their guests.
The house has historic significance dating back World War II and has been decorated very stylishly with Naga artefacts and ethnic textiles, and wooden floors. One can really enjoy the taste of a true Naga heritage.. The decor is just marvellous and the tranquillity is unlike any other. The stay is located at the entrance of the Kohima village, a suburb of the Greater Kohima area, nestled amidst lush gardens along with the spectacular views of the mountains. The proximity to various museums, such as the Battle of Kohima Museum, adds to the appeal of this serene stay, providing insights into the rich history of the region. Whether you’re interested in exploring cultural sites or simply relaxing in nature, Razhu Pru promises a memorable stay.
